5 Step critique
1) See Drawing 2) This picture is of My two cats sitting in my kitchen. But my cat in the top left corner has a small cowboy on her back acting like a rodeo. There is a filter and a saddle on my cat, there's tiles on the ground and the cats are ready for breakfast. 3) One Element of art in this picture that really shows meaning is texture. The entire photoshop edit has dust and dirt on it. It makes it look like a kind of rough scene, by noticing all of the grime and dust you get a feel for how dry and hot it is just by looking at the small elements of this picture. The principal of design in this piece is proportion, making the human sizes cowboy on this small cat is messing with the balance of proportion. This is upsetting the balance of realism but it is unexpected so it seems funny. 4) In this picture I was not trying to convey anything. I always have seen funny photoshop edits of cowboys riding unrealistic animals being able to ride. So I wanted a cowboy to roseo my cat and it looks funny more than anything. 5) When I judge this Photoshop edit I noticed that I could have found a better stamp for duts. Because it just looks like dirt in the air around the cats and their feet. The shrubs could have been more realistic in the environment I think too. Finally maybe some color correction on the cowboy to make it look like the picture is real.
